Year 10 Boys Draw 2-2 with Weydon
Thursday 21 September @ Weydon - Drew 2-2
The Year 10 boys started the defence of their league title with an away game at Weydon. Arriving to a first class facility the boys were eager to get going on the 4g pitch provided. As so often with this team we started slowly and Weydon had a couple of chances that were well saved by Joe in goal. We soon found our feet and started to move the ball around the pitch well which led to a couple of good chances which unfortunately we couldn’t put away. Weydon on the other hand had two chances in the first half and duly dispatched them to make the half time score 2-0.
In the second half the boys responded well and were soon on the front foot. A little bit sharper all round the pitch and moving the ball quicker enabled us to start to create more chances and this time we took them. Two goals in quick succession from Jakob and Kyle got us back into the game and for the final 20 minutes we had plenty more chances but just couldn’t find the back of the net. On to next week and starting our National Cup campaign against Cox Green school at home.
