Year 8 Football v Riddlesdon (Won 4-3)

The Year 8 football team carried on their winning streak with a hard fought win over Riddlesdon Collegiate!

The Year 8 football team carried on their winning streak with a hard fought win over Riddlesdon Collegiate in the Surrey County Cup. The boys started fantastically well and within the first 20 minues were up 3-0 with Jakob Carl scoring all three goals.  Throughout the first half the boys were working extremely hard to close down Riddlesdon and make it very difficult for them to play.

In the second half Riddlesdon started to take control and put us under a lot of pressure.  Riddlesdon got a goal back but straight after Oli Ewing scored to make it 4-1.  As the game progressed Riddlesdon kept piling on the pressure and managed to score two goals to make it 4-3 going into the last 10 minutes. Joe Fitzjohn made a superb save in the dying minutes to keep us in front.  The boys managed to hold out to win 4-3.  We move into the next round to play Coombe Boys School who are always a very strong outfit so will be a real test in the New Year.
