During the two Enterprise Days (27 and 28 November) Sixth Formers were given the opportunity to explore their future career choices.

On Thursday trips were organised to the University of Surrey, University of Reading, University of Kingston and St Mary’s University at Twickenham. This was a chance for all Year 12s to experience student life through campus tours, lectures and the opportunity to speak to student ambassadors.

On Friday a wide range of external organisations were invited into College to present careers-related workshops primarily to Year 13 students.  Presenters included the University of Surrey, Farnborough College of Technology, Army Recruitment Centre, Rate My Apprenticeship, Siemens, Glaxo Smith Kline, British Airways, Allianz and a retired member of the Metropolitan Police.  In addition, ex-Collingwood students were invited back to run workshops on ‘real University life’, course-based work experience, Gap year opportunities and ‘how to make the right choice’.  Mrs Hamilton also ran a CV writing session.
