Year 10 Student Receives Black Belt in Karate!
Anna Mills (10L) receives an adult level 1st Dan Black Belt in Seiki Juku Karate after four years of training.
After four years of Karate training, consisting of four hours a week technical training and many hours of physical fitness training, Anna Mills (10L) was selected by her Sensei to attend a four day black belt assessment course. The course involved technical kata routines, fitness tests and finally an 11-fight line up against senior grades including other black belts, resulting in Anna being awarded an adult level 1st Dan Black Belt in Seiki Juku Karate.
Anna's hard work was rewarded on Sunday 1 June 2014 at a final black belt training course which culminated in an award ceremony in which Sensei Frank T Perry, 8th Dan and Founder of Seiki Juku Karate presented her with the Black Belt and certificate.
Well done Anna, a fantastic achievement especially considering that statistics show that only 1 in 1000 Karate students go on to accomplish this.
