Top Grades Up by 3.5% at Collingwood!
Against the national trend, 27% of Collingwood A level entries were at A*/A.
Against the national trend, 27% of Collingwood A level entries were at A*/A. Students received their results via email at home and then attended a celebration with their Year Manager, Personal Tutors and teachers in the Sixth Form Centre.
Overall, 60% of entries were at grades A*-B. Mr Oddie was delighted with the results which equalled our personal best!
There were over 300 A level entries and almost 100 BTEC entries. (BTEC entries are awarded at Distinction*, Distinction, Merit and Pass).Special recognition goes to Adam Carver who achieved A* Chemistry, A* Physics, A* Maths and A* Further Maths! He has a place at Brasenose College, Oxford to study Maths. Lara Anisman is also taking Maths but at Edinburgh. Lara achieved an A* in Maths and A grades in Physics, Biology and Further Maths. Colin Clarke is off to the Royal Veterinary College and he achieved A* Geography, Chemistry A and Biology B.
Mrs Hamilton is currently working to support students in achieving a place in Higher Education and over 90% of students have secured places to date.
