Brave Mollie Shaves Head for Cancer Research
A Year 11 student shaves head to raise funds for Cancer Research.
On Friday 28 June one of our Year 11 students, Mollie White, shaved her head to raise the much needed funds for Cancer Research.
I first decided to shave my head 18 months ago when a family friend was diagnosed with a brain tumour. His courage and determination throughout the diagnosis and treatment inspired me to try and help fight cancer. I didn’t want to do any ordinary fundraising so I decided that shaving my head would be a good way to raise awareness and get more sponsorship. I found shaving my head a real achievement and one of the best things I’ve ever achieved, and the respect I had from family, friends and strangers is amazing! I have managed to raise over £300 by organising and doing the event and I am very pleased to say I have contributed in finding a cure for cancer.
