Award Presented for Wings of Hope Achievement
Wings of Hope Co-founder and CEO visits Collingwood to present award.
On Friday 17 May Mrs Sriram (Co-founder and CEO of the Wings of Hope Charity) visited Collingwood to present a beautiful glass award to our Year 9 fundraising team ‘Lord of the Wings’ and the College for the amazing accomplishment of receiving a Wings of Hope Achievement Award for being Runner-up in the Best Presentation Category. She said “I am hugely impressed by the sheer enthusiasm and determination to succeed of these students, especially being the youngest team to participate in the Awards programme. I can see them go a long way! My best wishes to you all.”
Praising the achievement of his students, Mr Oddie said “We are exceptionally proud of our very talented group of Year 9 students, who won recognition for their presentation to the judges in the finals of the Wings of Hope Achievement Awards. In view of the fact that they were competing with much older students from over 300 other schools nationwide, their achievement is all the more laudable. The fact that they are already planning their fundraising strategy for next year’s event speaks volumes for their commitment to helping those less fortunate than themselves. They are a credit to the College, their parents and, above all, themselves.”
