PE Bake Off for Red Nose Day

PE staff bake to raise funds for Red Nose Day.

On Tuesday 5 March the PE Department took part in a ‘Bake Off’ to raise funds for Red Nose Day.  Each team consisted of 2 people who were unaware of the ingredients and the dishes they were to prepare.  All teams were presented with a variety of ingredients and asked to make Flapjacks and Chicken and Leek Pie in the 90 minutes provided.   The event was completed in good spirit by all and the PE Department surprised themselves with their cooking abilities as some of the dishes turned out better than expected!

The event was filmed by 6th Form students who also provided commentary.  Each Tutor Group at Collingwood will be asked to raise at least £10 in order to view the film of the Bake Off in registration on Red Nose Day.  Special thanks must go to Lisa Marshall (Head of the Technology Dept) who guided and judged the event, Ashley Middleton for taking photographs and the 6th Formers who helped out (Colin Clarke, Abi Field, Mike Channell, Ben Bowen and Liam Honeywood).

The Bake Off proved to be a most enjoyable event for a very worthy cause!!
