Science Students' Celebration of Success
Science teachers celebrate students' success in Science examinations.
On Friday 15 February during lunchtime in S Block the Science teachers and all Years 12 and 13 Science students were invited to a ‘Celebration of Success’.
Eli Lilly, a global pharmaceutical company with a research and development site based in Windlesham nearby, generously donated funds for the event and those students who had performed exceptionally well at GCSE or AS Levels in 2012 were each awarded a £25 cheque!
Eli Lilly are keen to promote the study of Science and to encourage students to pursue Science to higher levels.
Congratulations to Year 13 students: Lara Anisman, Cameron Rice, Josh McAteer, Aaron Baker and Jess Steven-Fountain, and Year 12 students: Sam Peters, Harry McGeachy, George Renwick, Oliver Stewart, Cindayniah Godfrey and Stuart Brown who all received a cheque for their excellent attainment in exams last year AND continued high level of work and good progress.
Food was provided by the Science staff and students who were not fortunate enough to achieve one of the generous prizes, received a Cream Egg from the Head of Department. Staff were delighted at the turn out; the vast majority of the students attended.
