Eco-Garden - latest progress
A team of 30, led by Danone, worked hard and made great progress on the Eco Garden over the Easter break ...
Over the Easter holidays, a team from Danone worked with the College Eco Committee and Site Team to develop an eco-garden and an outdoor classroom.
Working together, the group installed a pond; built seating for a whole class group from materials they scavenged from woodland around the school; planted almost 40 trees of various sizes and species; installed bird boxes, bat boxes and a hedgehog box; dug and fitted a 30-metre bark path and, finally, installed furniture for an outdoor classroom that they had refurbished to a very high standard.
This project will have a lasting effect on teaching standards, particularly for our biologists, enabling studetns to engage with nature on our own campus.
We hope to build on this relationship with Danone in the years to come.
