COLLINGWOOD SIXTH FORM RESULTS FOR 2017 (A level and BTEC)

Given the introduction of more rigorous linear A levels in 13 subjects Collingwood College are delighted with their A level results which were the 3rd highest on record and 12% above 2016.
Overall 62.2% of all grades were at A*-B for A level or Distinction*/Distinction for BTEC which is 5% above the 2016 figure (56.8%). Once again the BTEC results were exceptionally good.

There were 7 top performing BTEC departments with more than 60% of all grades at Distinction*/Distinction:
BTEC Art and Design, BTEC Business, BTEC Travel and Tourism, BTEC Creative Media Production, BTEC IT, BTEC Health.
As always we want to recognise and celebrate the outstanding commitment from our students and staff in achieving these results. Our sixth form offers a very high quality experience for students of all abilities, with as much effort and determination given to the top achievers as those who enter with more modest GCSE profiles.
Overall this is another excellent set of results for Collingwood 6th Form.
