Celebration of Year 13 Achievements

Year 13 students celebrated their achievements last week in the annual achievement seminar.

Year 13 students celebrated their achievements last week in the annual achievement seminar.  Certificates were presented by Miss Crocker (Vice Principal) and Mr Webster (Senior Assistant Principal).

It was a memorable morning as we recognised and celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2017.  The full list of awardees can be found on the Parent Portal (see announcement on home page) and photographs of the event will be displayed in the Sixth Form Centre and on the website.

The first award, the Ellie Colby Award, was presented by Jo Colby and her family in memory of their daughter Eleanor.

Jessica Heritage was presented with the award after receiving nominations from all of her subject teachers.

Year 13 students were nominated by their subject teachers and Personal Tutors.   The Believe and Succeed Award was presented to Laura Brooks and Alex Smith for their commitment and success in their studies.  The Community Award this year was presented to two worthy winners, Joe Monk and Jake Burton, for the excellent contribution they have made to Collingwood.  The Special Achievement Award was presented to Dan Martin for the excellent work he has done in his role as Head Boy but also for his extra commitment to Status Racing and securing his ambition of becoming a commercial airline pilot with Easy Jet in the summer.

Collingwood staff wish all students the very best of luck in their final exams and for the future.
