Collingwood to Mark the VE Day 80th Anniversary
On Thursday 8 May, the College will observe this special anniversary with a 2-minute silence and, during Form Time and lessons, students and staff will participate in numerous activities to celebrate the eight decades since the end of the Second World War in Europe. More details to come next week.
Roboteers Set a Collingwood Record!!
Last weekend, Collingwood College students attended the Robots Live show in Maidenhead with Mr Thomas (Head of Design and Technology) which was filmed for the new TV series Mech Mania.
Collingwood College Debating Team- best in England, second best in the UK and ranked 16th in the world!
Huge congratulations to our Debating Team who competed in the largest debating competitions in the world at the Oxford Union Schools Debating Competition and the Cambridge Union Competition last weekend.
Badminton District Champions!
Many congratulations to both our badminton teams who beat strong opposition from Gordon’s School in the badminton finals on Wednesday night to become District Champions!

Yesterday, Miss Watling (Principal) was thrilled to receive such positive feedback from our internal audit moderator about our DofE offer here at Collingwood College.

We had our Drop Everything and Read event across the College in the morning; it was lovely to see our staff and students enjoying a good book!
Year 8 Basketball Success!
The Year 8 girls' basketball team enjoyed a celebratory pizza lunch on Friday with Miss Watling, Principal, after winning the District Basketball Tournament for the first time on Monday 10 February.

This morning, Miss Watling was delighted to be invited by Miss Evans to listen to the presentations by our GCSE Citizenship students to Mr Allan Pinkerton, MP for Surrey Heath, who gave them informative and invaluable feedback.
