Advance Notice: Parents’ Evenings and Academic Review Day Arrangements for Next Half-term
I thought it might be useful to give parents advanced notice of plans for the next half-term:
- Monday 21 February - INSET day
- Thursday 24 February - Year 9 Parents’ Evening - VIRTUAL
- Thursday 3 March -Year 8 Parents’ Evening - VIRTUAL
- Thursday 31 March - Academic Review Day - VIRTUAL
- Friday 1 April - INSET day.
The Year 8 and Year 9 Parents’ Evenings next half-term were always intended to be virtual events, so there is no change to this arrangement.
The Academic Review Day on Thursday 31 March will now also be a virtual event rather than being a combination of remote and face-to-face meetings.
I hope that advanced notice/confirmation of these arrangements is helpful.
Kingston Building – Fire Safety Upgrades Progress and Night Work
Students with lessons in Q Block will already have noticed some of the improvements to teaching facilities that have been made as a result of the ongoing programme of fire safety upgrades in Kingston building and I am pleased to report that work continues to progress according to schedule.
From next week, the project moves to a new phase involving some night work. This is not expected to cause any significant disruption but please do not be alarmed if you notice more activity than normal at the College late at night.
