Year 7 admissions
We’re delighted that you’re considering Collingwood College for the next stage of your child’s educational journey. Choosing the right secondary school is an important decision, and we aim to provide all the information and guidance you need to feel confident and well-informed.
Each year, the College admits up to 300 students into Year 7. These students are typically organised into ten form groups, allowing us to provide a supportive and well-structured start to secondary education.
You can view our full admissions policy below, which outlines how places are allocated when applications exceed the number of available places. Various other supplementary admissions documents can also be found at the bottom of this page.
Application process
Families of children in Year 6 receive guidance on the secondary school application process from their primary school in September. Applications should be submitted directly to your home county council, either online or using the form they provide.
Please note that the College cannot accept applications directly. The deadline for submitting applications is typically in October, so we encourage families to check with their local authority for exact dates and requirements.
If your child is not initially offered a place at Collingwood College and you would like to be considered for any future vacancies, please contact us directly to be added to our waiting list.
