The College is committed to responding to parents/carers in a timely manner and whilst every attempt is made to respond within 3 working days, some issues may require investigation. In such instances, we undertake to respond within 10 working days.

There may of course be occasions when circumstances make it impossible for the College to respond fully within this time period, in which case, the College will keep parents/carers fully informed throughout the process.

Difficulties logging onto the Parent Portal?

Should you encounter difficulties of any kind logging on, please contact the College using the email address portal@collingwood.surrey.sch.uk. It is important to remember that you should not include your user ID and password together in any communication to the College.

What does the Parent Portal provide?

Collingwood's Parent Portal is an internet based information and communication tool that gives parents secure access to their child's/children's data directly from the College's Management System. Parents can access their child's attendance record, can ensure that key information retained by the College is correct, and update as necessary, and check what lessons their child has every day by viewing their timetable. As well as this parents can see College policy documents, book appointments for Parents' Evenings/Academic Review Days, contribute views in parental surveys and access information about the curriculum amongst many other things. We believe this Parent Portal represents the single most important step forward in the College's relationship with parents for a generation.

Important Information

The following is important information for current parents about your Online Account and the data that you will be able to access:

  • Only you (as the Parent of a Child), your child and authorised College staff can access this data about your child. A Parent or Carer cannot see any contact information (eg home address, phone number, email address etc) about another Parent or Carer or any child.
  • Your data and that of all children who attend Collingwood, is managed by the College and is held securely on servers at Collingwood. We take the security of this data very seriously and all sensible measures have been taken to safeguard this information.
  • When you connect to the Collingwood Parent Portal, data is transmitted across the Internet securely using security encryption

How to apply?

To enable us to issue you with your secure username and password please complete the application form stating the Parents/Carers with parental responsibility that require access to the Collingwood Parent Portal. Please bear in mind that only people with the relationship of mother, father, guardian, foster parent or carer to the student are entitled to an account for that child's data. Each person listed will receive an individual username and password by external post. If you have parental responsibility for more than one child at Collingwood you must complete an application form per child. Your account will be consolidated to allow you access to each child's data using a single username and password. If one of the parents/carers does not live with the child then please confirm their home address so that we can ensure our records are correct and up to date.
