The Inclusion Centre is currently managed by Nikki Woolven. Inclusion is when a student is isolated from their peers for a short period of time due to misdemeanour. The length of the Inclusion can vary from one to five days, with Inclusions ending at either 3.05pm or 4.35pm. When a student is included parents/carers will be informed in advance by the relevant Year Manager or member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Students are included in one space in the ALC where they remain for the day, including breaks and lunchtimes. Students are expected to complete the work, set by class teachers, in silence. There are computers available for students to use while they are included. Data is collected and analysed with a view to reducing repeat offences.
