Financial support
No student should miss out on education because of financial pressures. Sixth Form study can come with additional costs, and support is available to help ensure that all students have the resources they need to succeed.
16–19 Bursary Fund
The Government’s 16–19 Bursary Fund provides financial assistance to students who might otherwise struggle to access or complete their education due to financial constraints. This is a discretionary, cash-limited fund, and eligibility is based on individual circumstances.
For those who qualify, the bursary can help with essential course-related costs, including:
- Travel to and from college
- Textbooks and learning materials
- Equipment and specialist clothing
- Educational visits and trips that are part of your course
What to do if you need support
Details about eligibility criteria and how to apply for the bursary are shared with students at the start of the academic year. The Sixth Form team is also available to guide students through the application process and answer any questions.
If you think you might be eligible, or if you’re unsure and would like to find out more, please contact the Sixth Form office. Support is available to help ensure that financial circumstances don’t stand in the way of your education.
