Year 11 Girls are District Basketball Champions!

The Year 11 girls' basketball team have become District Champions for the first time.

The Year 11 girls' basketball team have become District Champions for the first time.  It is a fantastic achievement after finishing in second place for the last 3 years.  The girls thoroughly deserve to win this year after being so committed throughout their 5 years at Collingwood.

Here are their results:

Collingwood v Woking High 23-8
Collingwood v Winston Churchill 28-18
Collingwood v George Abbot 20 – 0
Collingwood v Fullbrook 32 – 12
Collingwood v BDB 72 -16

The team also played in the newly formed Surrey league and finished a very creditable third place, only losing to The Ashcombe school from Dorking and Archbishop Lanfranc school from Croydon.

We have now qualified for the Surrey Finals which are to be held at Surrey Sports Park on Thursday 6 March.  Good luck ladies.

The team consisted of the following players: Mia Alamo, Ellie Bolton, Charlotte Campling, Sasha Anisman, Tess Bonny, Fran Davis and Olivia Archibald.
