Humanities

Welcome to the Humanities Faculty at Collingwood College.

The Humanities team is a collection of highly committed individuals whose aim is to provide outstanding teaching and learning for our students. Each member of staff is passionate about their subject(s) and strive to convince as many students as possible to continue to continue their subject at GCSE and then A Level.  We also have a strong record in helping our sixth form students get onto Humanities courses at University and take grade pride in doing so.

Humanities subjects are at the forefront of an ever changing world and have a huge responsibility in preparing young people for life after school; therefore, we pride ourselves in our focus of helping students understand how to think, in addition to learning what to know and to recognise the real-life application of what is learnt in class.
